In addition to Nabunken’s updated English style guide and an article on English typography, this year’s volume also includes my article, “The Impact of Cultural and Technological Shifts on English Texts Related to Cultural Heritage” (English pp. 40-44, Japanese pp. 45-50). It offers a (much-abbreviated) overview of the history of museum writing and briefly touches on the impact of changing social discourses, like feminist and postcolonial theory, as well as the impact of technological advances, like color photography and the internet.
